Are you one of America’s veterans–someone who has served our nation with courage and distinction?
Career Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, volunteers, draftees, Guardsmen and Reservists. All have served. All have sacrificed. All have contributed to the unique American story. The Americans in Wartime Museum will be a voice for you and for all American veterans, conveying extraordinary stories of wartime service and your contributions to the character of our nation.
The United States is home to more than 20 million veterans who have served our nation in uniform. The Commonwealth of Virginia is home to 814,000 veterans, and nearly one in seven residents of Prince William County—the site of our Americans in Wartime Museum—is a veteran.
From the National Veterans Visitor Center and the Veterans Recording Studio in our main building to the outdoor Landscapes of War, the heart of the Museum will be the story of individual American veterans and those who supported them at home.
Today, you can help us compile and preserve the story of America’s courageous veterans–whether you want to tell your own story or pay tribute to a loved one:
