Americans in Wartime Experience
I want you to know that I am impressed with the vision for the Americans in Wartime Museum. So many wonderful and valiant Americans have sacrificed for our country in wartime, on the battlefield and on the home front, and your museum will bring their stories to life.

You have an excellent location and many unique features, from the impressive collection of vintage military vehicles, the Oral History recording studio in the National Veterans Visitor center, and the restoration hangar, to the regularly planned demonstrations and re-enactments. Education is the key to sustaining a strong nation and the Americans in Wartime Museum is designed to play a significant role in preserving and presenting an accurate accounting of our military history and those who served.

Count me a supporter!

Sincerely,
Donald Rumsfeld

It honors those who served in the military and on the home front and highlights the values they demonstrated in serving – duty, honor, and courage. It examines how periods of conflict have profoundly shaped American society. It educates visitors about the costs of war, both on a personal and social level. It challenges visitors to remember the service and sacrifices made by their fellow citizens to preserve and defend our freedoms. LEARN MORE
