Bruce Anker

Vietnam War

Peter Bruce Anker served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Air Force.  During his career in the Air Force, Bruce flew several different aircraft, which included KC-135 Tankers and various fighters.  During the war, Bruce flew 140 combat missions in an RF-101 Voodoo.  He volunteered to fly the Wild Weasel mission in an F-4, but never flew in combat.  He eventually became an F4-E instructor pilot.

It honors those who served in the military and on the home front and highlights the values they demonstrated in serving – duty, honor, and courage. It examines how periods of conflict have profoundly shaped American society. It educates visitors about the costs of war, both on a personal and social level.
