James Lenoir

World War II

During World War II, James Lenoir served his country as a member of the United States Army Air Forces.  He was a gunner on a B-24 Liberator with the 8th Air Force, 854th Bomb Group, 855th Bomb Squadron.  He successfully completed 35 missions over Europe.  He received 6 Air Medals and 5 Battle Stars for his efforts.
