Robert Freed

World War II

As a member of the U. S. Army Air Forces, Robert Freed served his country during World War II.  He was a member of the 8th Air Force in England and his primary duties was to load bombs onto the aircraft.

He arrived in England in 1943 aboard the Queen Elizabeth.  Mr. Freed stated that he had never seen a ship so damn big in all his life!
