As a field artilleryman in the United States Army, Rudolph "Rudy" Ehrenberg served his country during the Vietnam War.  For injures received during combat, Rudy was awarded the Purple Heart.

It examines how periods of conflict have profoundly shaped American society. It educates visitors about the costs of war, both on a personal and social level.
