Americans in Wartime Experience
December 4, 2021
In what many would say has been yet another challenging year, you have never stopped amazing me with your support of our veterans and the Americans in Wartime Experience. With your continued support, we accomplished a lot together.

These are some of our 2021 successes:
  • We welcomed over 350 new/renewed friends to the Americans in Wartime Experience membership!
  • Thankfully we had a dramatic increase in donations from 2020, which goes directly to helping share the wartime stories of our most cherished veterans and active service men and women, and support the creation of outdoor and indoor activities, authentic landscapes of war, and much more.
  • This includes generous gifts towards the land and Voices of Freedom. To them we give a tremendous thanks!
  • Speaking of creating authentic landscapes of war, we are excited to share that this year we were successful in clearing 45 acres of land – getting us closer to our future opening!

  • After being unable to host the Tank Farm Open House in 2020, you certainly showed up this year! We hosted nearly 20,000 visitors, and had a 56% increase in donations/memberships, etc. from 2019 during our 2 day open house in September.
  • Voices of Freedom is still recording accounts from our veterans this year and they will have close to 80 interviews done by the end of 2021. Normally they average about 50 a year.
  • The staff and volunteers at the Tank Farm have been hard at work all year. This year's projects were the British Scorpion and Stiker, the US RDF Light Tank, and the Swiss Centurion and finishing up the work on the Dodge Command Car. They'll continue work on the Swedish S-Tank and the M-36 Tank Destroyer into 2022. Maintenance and repair projects have been a priority with two M-151a2's jeeps, three HMMWV's, the 5 ton Cargo truck, the three FV 432's APC's, and the three M35A3 Cargo Trucks going through the shop.

We are grateful to have you as a part of the Americans in Wartime Experience family. We can’t wait to accomplish more with you by our side in 2022! We have set the date for next year's Open House for September 24th & 25th. Make sure you save the date on your calendars now!

We ask that you continue to work with us in supporting Americans in Wartime Experience. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you in 2022!

With much appreciation,

Dennis Brant
